Rock of Ages...

had so much fun designing this invite for my sweet girl!

Well, we survived a party of 14 girls ages 8-9 for

my daughter's 9th birthday party...

and haven't sworn off birthday parties - all of this is a very good sign!

We had a pizza, a fun sparkle punch, dancing,

microphone decorating, dancing, a mix-tape,

piñata (that broke in 3 tries...annoying),

a bubble machine, confetti, a beauty-bar,

and cupcakes all while dancing.

The girls came rock-ready...dancing, laughing and singing

their hearts out.

With a beauty-bar to get decked even MORE 

(too many accessories?  not for rock stars!)

Firemen - necessary at every rock show.

rock has no age limits....

It was a great night watching the girls

play and realizing birthday parties

will be looking differently from now on -

no more of the organized party games

or preplanned events - this party

had a different, more independent feel to it.

My girl is getting old....it is so bittersweet....!
