The fabulous Becky @ FarmGirl Paints

Today's edition is
an updated repost from a 2009
(gasp! LAST DECADE!)
(don't judge the writing, photos, etc...I was SO NEW at blogging!)
I have updated the photos
but the recipes stand the test of time,
they are still some of my tried & true's.
It is a simple but delicious meal
that fills the house with yummy smells,
as well as warming the soul
with its earthy comfort.
It is great for a special occasion,
or to add into your monthly rotation -
budget-friendly and even good for a crowd!
RECIPE:
Dijon-Rosemary Grilled Flank Steak
1/2c Soy Sauce
2T Sesame Oil
1/2c Extra Virgin Olive Oil
2-4T Dijon Mustard
1T Herbes de Provence
2T Worcestershire Sauce
1lb Flank Steak
1. Mix above together, salt and pepper the meat, and
marinate for at least an hour, or overnight.
2. Heat grill pan on medium-high heat until well heated through.
3. Reserve the marinade**. Place meat diagonal on grill,
do not move for at least 5 minutes.
4. Flip, and do not move meat for another 5-8 minutes, depending on desired done-ness.
5. Remove meat from heat, cover with foil and let rest for at least 15 minutes.
6. Cut thinly against the grain and serve immediately.
**To make a sauce out of the marinade,
pour marinade in a small saucepan and bring to a simmer. Let simmer 5 minutes.
Add 1/4c white wine, 2T butter and continue to simmer 5 minutes.
Add 1T Wondra flour or corn starch to slightly thicken.
Once incorporated, serve with meat.
Serve with your favorite green salad and risotto recipe
Happy Friday!
