Toxic Tuesday will be on hiatus
as all of my research hours
are going to be knee deep in the
in's and out's of
Paris and Budapest.
It will be almost exactly 11 years since
my feet were touching
Parisian soil and let me just say,
they've been aching ever since.
Last time I was in Paris,
it was for a week after I had spent 6 weeks
studying in the South of France.
This week happened during the week of my
22nd birthday - and I was solo.
Alone in Paris
roaming the streets, museums and cafes
with no one but myself to soak up the city.
It was magical.
I vowed to one day take
my beloved there as the romance
of the city is palpable.
This trip is a HUGE blessing that is such a provision
from the Lord and this time,
it will just be my husband.and.I.
Magic.
So, I know many of you have been recently,
and I'm anxious to hear your
"must-do's", restaurant & cafe suggestions,
flea market tips, etc.
I'm all ears.
We will be finishing off our European vacation
with 5 days in Budapest, where we will
be hosting clients for my husband's work.
(I use the term 'work' loosely...it will be an amazing trip)
So, Paris - I'm coming back.
Time to dust off my 'parlez-vous francais'
and let the immersion process begin.

How exciting my friend!!!! What an amazing experience you and your love will have in the City of Love :) I wish I had some suggestions, but the closest thing I have come to being in Paris is the Eiffel Tower in Vegas - HA! Eat yummy pastries, drink amazing wine and kiss lots :X

So exciting Tracy! We were there last summer and 2 years ago as well. Two years ago we stayed at the Regencia Elyees Hotel (near Champps Elysees) and last year at the Grand Hotel St Michel (near the Sorbonne and St. Germaine). Both hotels were fabulous! One of our favorite restaurants (for the family at least) is Le Relais de l'Entrecote. We had the best falafel in the whole world in the Marais area, La's du fallafel.
I'm anxious to see what you think about Budapest. We had that on the list for this summer but just changed plans.
Happy planning!
PS- I did a post of places etc... from our trip last year. Here's the link:

I'm SO happy for you, Trace!! To spend your bday there alone with J!? Please live it up and think of me every now and then--like when you are flea'ing or indulging in fine wine and foods or just because!! One day, we'll relive OUR epic Norwegian adventure. Wouldn't that be fabulous? instead of picture frames our beloved beside our beds we'll have them there and taking it all in with us?! Think about it...it'd be RAD! :)
Ahhhh, have a wonderful trip!!!!!! I love Paris!!!!!!!!!! Enjoy every moment!!!!!
